After nearly a decade apart, Alison Krauss and Union Station are set to reunite for a major 2025 nationwide tour, marking their first collaborative outing in years. The legendary bluegrass and Americana ensemble will embark on over 70 dates across the U.S. and Canada, thrilling fans with live performances of their iconic music.
The reunion also comes with exciting news: the band is releasing a new album, their first in nearly 15 years. The album will follow the critically acclaimed Paper Airplane (2011) and could be titled Arcadia, which is also the name of the upcoming tour.
Joining Krauss and Union Station for this highly anticipated tour is Russell Moore, the award-winning frontman of bluegrass band IIIrd Tyme Out. Moore brings his exceptional vocal talent to the lineup, alongside longtime members Ron Block (banjo, guitar, vocals), Barry Bales (bass, vocals), and the legendary Jerry Douglas on dobro and vocals. Notably, former member Dan Tyminski will not be part of the new lineup.
In a statement, Krauss expressed her excitement: “I’m so grateful to get to make music again with my comrades of 40 years. They’ve always accomplished incredible work individually and have been constantly traveling because of it. We’re very inspired to experience this new exciting chapter in the band’s history.”
The tour will kick off with opening performances by Willie Watson, along with a special guest for the first three dates. While not all tour dates have been announced, tickets for the confirmed shows will go on sale Friday, December 6, with presales beginning Wednesday, December 4 at 10 a.m. local time.
