Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron, and Ben Shepherd, the core members of the legendary rock music band Soundgarden, are reuniting under a new banner and a fresh twist. Reviving their former moniker, Nudedragons, the group will perform together for the first time since the tragic passing of lead singer Chris Cornell in 2017.
The reunion will feature a new frontwoman, Shaina Shepherd, taking the stage with the iconic lineup. The special performance is set for December 14 at the SMooCH benefit, an annual event supporting Seattle Children’s Hospital.
While fans may not hear the name “Soundgarden” on the marquee, the spirit and legacy of the band live on through this heartfelt reunion for a cause close to their hearts. Proceeds from the benefit will aid the hospital’s efforts to provide top-tier medical care to children in need.
This marks a significant chapter for the band members and their supporters, as they honor their past while paving the way for a new era.
