HNA® Music (BMI) is set to make a major statement in the music world with the upcoming release of No Song Hold On, an album that promises to redefine the intersection of rap and R&B. Slated for release on January 20, 2025, the album is a landmark project from the artist collective PDS™ and marks a bold step forward for the label, which has long been a champion of independent music.
Founded by PDS Entertainment LLC (now dissolved) and later rebranded as HNA® Music, the label has had a decade-long history of supporting emerging talent. Its journey began with the Hottest New Artist® (HNA) Contest and radio show, which initially aired locally on WHAP in Hopewell, Virginia, before expanding to international audiences via web broadcasts. Despite early challenges in gaining mainstream airplay, HNA® persevered in its mission to discover and nurture exceptional artists.
The upcoming album, No Song Hold On, features 22 tracks that break away from conventional rap music and R&B formulas. Central to the album is the genre fusion dubbed “Rap Ballard,” a unique blend of slow, romantic melodies, rhythmic speech, and classical influences. Paul Spencer, President of HNA® Music and producer of the album, describes the project as “a groundbreaking blend that challenges the boundaries of modern music.”
