Timmy Harrison, known by his stage name The Stranger In My Head, is fast becoming a notable name on the international country music scene. With the recent release of his fifth solo album, Harrison is gearing up for a new chapter in his career, heading to Spain for an exclusive songwriting workshop with acclaimed indie rock artist Jamie Webster.
The 31-year-old musician has already carved a niche for himself in the competitive country music world, particularly in the United States, where his hit single “Railroad” broke into the iTunes Top 100 Country charts. His success in the U.S. has earned him a loyal following, and much of his 2023 was spent immersing himself in the musical traditions of Nashville and Memphis, where he wrote over 100 new songs, drawing on the rich musical legacies of these iconic cities.
Timmy’s love for country music is deeply rooted in family. He credits his grandfather for inspiring his passion for the genre, and now, he’s determined to bring the sounds of country to the UK, which he believes is experiencing a “resurgence” in interest for the genre.
Before becoming a solo artist, Timmy was a music producer in Manchester, where he collaborated with notable names like Elbow and Paul Heaton of The Housemartins and The Beautiful South. His latest project, an acoustic album titled Left in the Dark, was released last week and is already generating buzz among fans.
With his growing fanbase and the upcoming workshop with Jamie Webster, Harrison is poised to continue making waves in the country music world.
