Nicko McBrain, the legendary drummer of heavy metal icons Iron Maiden, has announced his retirement from touring. The drummer will perform his final live show tonight in Sao Paulo, Brazil, marking the end of his extensive live performances with the band.
In a heartfelt statement, McBrain expressed his desire to step back from the demanding schedule of constant touring, though he confirmed he would continue to be involved in other Iron Maiden projects. The band also released a tribute to McBrain, celebrating his nearly 40 years with them. A replacement for the drumming position will be revealed soon, according to the band’s announcement.
