The highly anticipated Chilled Out ‘n’ Fired Up festival will return to Caltowie, South Australia, on March 22, 2025, promising a day of top-notch live music, local food, and mental health awareness. The one-day rock event will showcase some of South Australia’s finest talent while supporting a vital cause.
Now a staple of the local music scene since its inception in 2019, the festival is set to deliver a 12-hour celebration of rock music. The Adelaide-based band The Superjesus will headline this year’s festival, joined by a diverse lineup of up-and-coming South Australian bands.
Co-organizer Ben Van Boekel explains that the festival’s lineup is curated by first securing a headliner, then matching them with local acts that complement the featured band. Fellow organizer Renee Ormesher adds that the festival’s mission is to unite people and celebrate South Australia’s local rock talent. “Expect to see some great live music and all types of rock genres,” she says.
In addition to supporting the local music scene, the festival aims to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Proceeds from the event will benefit Lifeline, with Van Boekel highlighting the importance of fostering open conversations about mental health. “We want to raise money and awareness, encouraging people to talk about their issues with their mates,” he says.
Festival-goers can also enjoy a variety of food trucks, licensed bars, and two large bonfires (weather permitting), as well as free on-site camping. “Expect to see some amazing South Australian live acts, indulge in some of South Australia’s greatest gourmet foods, and have a few bevvies along the way!” Van Boekel adds.
The family-friendly event is open to all ages, making it the perfect opportunity to support local bands and raise awareness for mental health. Early bird tickets are available until December 31, so be sure to get yours soon via the festival’s website.
