BTS has achieved another milestone, surpassing 1.9 billion views on YouTube with the music video for their hit single “Dynamite”. This marks the first time the group has reached this impressive feat.
Released in August 2020, “Dynamite” made history by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first K-pop song to top the chart. The track went on to hold the top spot twice more and stayed on the chart for a total of 32 weeks, setting numerous records for the genre.
In other news, solo albums from BTS members RM and Jin were recently featured in Billboard’s “25 Best K-Pop Albums of 2024.” RM’s Right Place, Wrong Person topped the list, described as “one of the year’s most daring musical statements across any genre,” while Jin’s Happy ranked No. 23, praised as “an impressively realized pop-rock debut.”
