K-pop group GFriend is gearing up for a special celebration of its 10th anniversary with the release of Season of Memories, a highly anticipated album set to drop on January 13. This marks the pop music group’s first comeback in four years, following their disbandment in May 2021. The album will be a heartfelt tribute to their fans, with the members promising to surprise listeners after such a long hiatus.
In a recent livestream on the fan platform Weverse, member Eunha shared the group’s excitement: “We greet you as GFriend in such a long time. We are practicing hard for our new album and concert.”
To further celebrate their milestone, GFriend will hold a two-day concert titled GFriend 10th Anniversary: ‘Season of Memories’ on January 18 and 19 at the Olympic Hall in Songpa District, Seoul. The concert tickets sold out quickly, a testament to the group’s enduring popularity. Member Umji revealed, “All the members were so passionate that we scrambled to add more songs to the list of tracks to perform at the concert.”
The group also made its first official return to the stage with a performance on YouTube’s Dingo Music’s “Killing Voice”, where they delighted fans by singing classic hits such as “Me Gustas Tu” (2015), “Rough” (2016), and “Glass Bead” (2015). The release of Season of Memories and the concert are set to be a powerful reunion for the beloved girl group and their loyal fanbase.
