After six weeks of fierce competition and standout performances, Layyah has been crowned the winner of The Rap Game UK’s sixth series, marking a historic moment as the show’s first female champion. The London rap music star triumphed over fellow finalists Haydog, CBliminal, and Only Zizou, securing the £20,000 cash prize in the gripping final aired Tuesday night.
Reflecting on her victory, Layyah expressed her excitement: “It is a dream come true. I really do hold this title highly and I want to make the absolute best of it.”
The win was announced on a London skyscraper, following a challenging freestyle rap during the Kenny Allstar Freestyle Challenge on BBC Radio 1Xtra. Layyah’s performance left 1Xtra host Kenny Allstar “speechless,” who praised her as a “generational talent” with immense potential.
Layyah, inspired by the strong women in her life, dedicated her success to them, saying, “Young Layyah would be proud of me. It hasn’t been easy to become the version of me that I’ve become.”
