The Lake Country Hometown Music Series will host the acclaimed a cappella group So Noted for their annual “Songs and Stories for the Christmas Season” concert on Sunday, Dec. 15, at Christ Episcopal Church in Willard. The performance, set to begin at 3 p.m., will take place at 1392 Main Street and is open to the public free of charge, courtesy of a Delavan Foundation grant. Following the concert, attendees are invited to a festive reception featuring Santa, hot chocolate, and cookies in the Parish Hall.
So Noted, a 10-member a cappella ensemble from the Finger Lakes, is known for their rich blend of traditional, jazz, pop, and show tunes. Founded in 2017 and led by Charles King, the group’s performances feature original arrangements that reflect their diverse musical backgrounds. Sunday’s concert will include a selection of holiday music, interspersed with seasonal poems and stories, including a reading from Duke’s Christmas Stories for All Ages by Robert “Duke” Gerlach. The event will conclude with a joyful Christmas carol sing-along.
“We are thrilled to have So Noted join us this year,” said Averell Bauder, Co-Warden of the Vestry. “We hope this event brings families together to experience the true spirit of the season through music, stories, and a visit from Santa.”
