Alternative band Alpha Rabbit has unveiled the music video for their new track, “Temperatures,” a piano-driven ballad that captures the band’s unique blend of ’60s psychedelic, ’90s alternative, and punk-inspired indie rock. The song, with hints of The Ronettes, reflects the band’s ongoing exploration of various musical genres and recurring themes.
Guitarist and vocalist Joe “Dim” Wolstenholme explains that “Temperatures” marks a pivotal point in the band’s journey. “It represents a culmination of how we’ve each grown individually and collectively as a band. Also, this song is a treat to play live,” he says.
Taken from their recently released second album Let It Grow, the track delves into the complexities of emotional vulnerability. It captures the tension between desiring deeper intimacy with someone while simultaneously pushing them away—a sentiment many listeners can relate to.
Alpha Rabbit, formed in 2016 in central New Jersey, is composed of Jake Foy, Joe “Dim” Wolstenholme, and Jaime Parker. The trio frequently switches between bass, drums, guitar, and keyboards, further emphasizing their versatile sound. With “Temperatures,” the band continues to carve out a distinctive space in the alternative music scene.
