Country music star Megan Lee returned to her roots for a special celebration of Welsh culture at Coleg Cambria Llysfasi, near Ruthin. The talented singer-songwriter headlined the latest Culture Collective event, which brought together students, staff, and the local community for an evening of music, food, and language.
A graduate of Cambria Yale in Wrexham, Megan’s musical journey began at the age of 11, performing alongside her family. Now a skilled multi-instrumentalist, she is set to perform at major festivals next summer, including Roadhouse Weekender and In It Together.
The event also marked a significant moment in Megan’s career, as her album Origin was recently nominated for a British CMA (Country Music Association) Award.
The Culture Collective, a growing initiative at the college, continues to thrive, with organisers Tim Feak, the college’s lead chaplain, and Judith Alexander, enterprise and entrepreneurship coordinator, promising even more events in the months ahead.
