San Antonio’s spring break just got an exciting upgrade with the announcement of Sunset: The Festival, a two-day music event set to take over The Espee, the downtown venue at St. Paul Square. Scheduled for March 7-8, the festival will feature a star-studded lineup with some of the music industry’s most eclectic acts.
Headlining the festival are critically acclaimed Austin rockers Spoon, known for their sharp sound and boundary-pushing albums, alongside indie dance icon Santigold. Additional performances will include Seattle rockers Band of Horses, legendary rapper Warren G, and sibling duo Aly & AJ, known for their catchy indie pop tunes. Local Texas talent, including San Antonio’s own Buttercup and Cody Jasper, will also grace the stage.
The festival’s name is a nod to the historic Sunset Station train depot, once located near the venue, adding a unique local touch to the event.
Produced by ATG Entertainment, which also runs The Espee as well as the Majestic and Charline McCombs Empire theaters, Sunset: The Festival promises a vibrant weekend of live music. Tickets, including two-day passes ranging from $99.50 to $359.50, will be available starting 10 a.m. Thursday online.
