Billboard UK has unveiled its first-ever cover, spotlighting global pop sensation Dua Lipa. As part of the magazine’s Global No. 1s series, the cover celebrates the most successful international artists of the past year.
Editor Thomas Smith shared that Lipa was a fitting choice for the debut cover: “Dua Lipa is the perfect artist to feature on our inaugural cover for Billboard UK. She’s had a bumper year in the market, headlining the prestigious Glastonbury Festival, releasing a chart-topping album, and filming her recent TV special at London’s Royal Albert Hall with another British icon – Sir Elton John.”
The Global No. 1s series showcases prominent artists from around the world, with other editions highlighting Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts, Chinese artist KUN, and Brazilian star Ana Castela, among others.
