Claude to Represent The Netherlands at Eurovision 2025

by Barbara

The Netherlands has officially announced its representative for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest: rising artist Claude. The news was revealed today by AVROTROS, the country’s national broadcaster, as the nation prepares to make its mark at the 69th Eurovision event in Basel, Switzerland.

Claude’s selection follows a competitive process after The Netherlands confirmed its participation in Eurovision 2025 and Joost Klein’s decision not to return. AVROTROS opened a submission window for artists to apply, which closed on November 22. The call drew considerable interest from across the Dutch music scene, with a total of 331 entries submitted.

A six-member committee carefully reviewed the submissions, including Jacqueline Govaert, Jaap Reesema, Carolien Borgers, Hila Noorzai, Cornald Maas, and Sander Lantinga. After a series of live auditions to assess vocal skills and stage presence, the panel selected Claude to represent the country.
