Lady Gaga is gearing up for her highly anticipated return to Coachella in 2025, where she will headline the iconic festival for the second time. Having previously filled in for Beyoncé in 2017, the “Bad Romance” singer has vowed to deliver a full-scale Lady Gaga experience this time around.
Reflecting on her 2017 performance, which came just weeks after being asked to step in for Beyoncé, Gaga admitted that the tight timeline limited her ability to fully execute her vision. “I only had two weeks to prepare for the show,” she shared. “To design a stage, to have it made—there was just no time to do everything I really wanted to do. But I love music, I love performing, and I was thrilled to film parts of A Star Is Born there. I did it, and I loved it, but now it’s time to make it happen the way I’ve always dreamed.”
Gaga also opened up about the profound impact music festivals have had on her throughout her career, describing them as “part of the community of music.” “I used to go to Bonnaroo a lot when I was younger. It’s a place to just put pause on everything, to fall into the music and the lights, and into everyone around you,” she said. “Live music has affected me in a way nothing else has. For me, there’s something religious about it.”
In addition to Lady Gaga, Coachella 2025 will feature headliners Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott. The festival will take place over two weekends: April 11-13 and April 18-20.
