Mad Cool Festival 2025 has revealed its highly anticipated first wave of performers, promising an eclectic mix of legendary icons, rising stars, and cutting-edge talent across multiple genres. The festival, set to take place from July 10-12 at Madrid’s Iberdrola Music venue, will feature an impressive array of artists, marking another milestone in the festival’s evolution as a global music destination.
Headlining the festival is Olivia Rodrigo, one of the most influential pop sensations of her generation. With two critically acclaimed albums, Rodrigo has captivated a worldwide audience, blending emotionally raw lyrics with ’90s alternative rock influences. Alongside Rodrigo, the festival will welcome the legendary Iggy Pop, the “Godfather of Punk,” who will perform classics from his five-decade career. Alanis Morissette will also take the stage to deliver a special set featuring hits from her iconic album Jagged Little Pill.
Fans of rock will be thrilled with the return of Weezer, performing in Madrid for the first time in two decades, alongside other rock heavyweights such as Kings of Leon, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and the energetic Gracie Abrams. Additionally, Noah Kahan will bring his modern folk sound, while St. Vincent’s acclaimed live performances promise to be a festival highlight.
The festival’s diverse lineup also includes French electronic duo Justice, who will perform material from their upcoming album, as well as rising talents such as Benson Boone, Girl In Red, and Finneas. Other exciting additions include Latin music legend Residente, American alternative bands like Foster the People and Bright Eyes, and indie darlings Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, and The Wombats.
Mad Cool Festival will also spotlight soulful performances by Leon Bridges and The Teskey Brothers, and the final tour of hardcore icons Refused. Electronic music lovers can enjoy sets by The Blessed Madonna, Miss Monique, and Krystal Klear, while local Spanish acts like Arde Bogotá, Natalia Lacunza, and Alcalá Norte will add to the festival’s international flavor.
A true celebration of musical diversity, Mad Cool 2025 promises a lineup that spans genres from indie and rock to electronic and hip-hop. The festival will take place at the innovative Iberdrola Music venue in Villaverde, Madrid, a sustainable cultural space designed to foster leisure, culture, and community.
