British rap music artist Shao Dow has unveiled the dynamic music video for his latest track “Striker,” featuring Chrono. The high-octane video draws heavy inspiration from the hit manga and anime series Blue Lock, blending vibrant anime visuals with live-action footage to create an electrifying homage to the series’ fierce themes of competition and ambition.
With scenes incorporating animation from Blue Lock itself, the video highlights Shao Dow’s fusion of rap and anime culture. The track’s driving concept mirrors the mentality of striving for excellence, a theme central to Blue Lock and one that resonates deeply with the rapper’s own approach to music. “Blue Lock is all about the mentality of becoming the very best, and that’s the mindset I’ve always had in music,” Shao Dow explains. “In ‘Striker,’ I’m bringing that fire and focus; it’s all about that killer instinct. This is a celebration of pushing boundaries and never settling for anything less than greatness.”
The video also features special cameo appearances from Drew Breedlove, the English-language voice actor for Bachira in Blue Lock, as well as Premier League star Dom Solanke, striker for Tottenham Hotspur.
Known for his unique blend of English and Japanese rap, Shao Dow has carved a niche for himself as both a rapper and manga author. His music, often inspired by anime and gaming, has made waves internationally, with notable contributions to games like Fortnite and God of War. He has also toured extensively in the U.K., U.S., and Japan.
The music video’s artwork was designed by Dimas Raviandra, with production handled by Levi Edits and GLX, further elevating the visual and thematic intensity of the project.
