German folk metal pioneers SUBWAY TO SALLY have released their emotionally charged ballad, “Herz in der Rinde,” ahead of the highly anticipated drop of their 15th studio album, Post Mortem, set for release tomorrow via Napalm Records.
The track reveals a more melancholic side of the band, intertwining poetic lyrics with their signature folk metal sound. “Herz in der Rinde” delves deep into themes of love, loss, and memory, capturing the essence of a relationship that once felt eternal but has since faded. The song’s stirring melody and vivid imagery, such as the carved heart symbolizing loss, build to a powerful and emotional climax, leaving listeners with a sense of poignant finality.
As part of their Post Mortem release celebrations, SUBWAY TO SALLY are currently on their annual “Eisheilige Nacht” tour. The band is joined by their labelmates, the dynamic power metal group Warkings, along with Irish folk-punk band The O’Reillys & The Paddyhats and German folk metal act Harpyie. Tickets are available for those eager to experience this intense live spectacle.
