As 2024 winds down, the Las Vegas Strip bids farewell to several high-profile residencies, marking the end of a significant era for some of the biggest names in music.
One of the standout closures is that of Wynonna Judd, who wrapped up her Greatest Hits Anniversary Tour at the Venetian Theater on December 14. The performance, part of Apollo Global Management’s (APO) residency program at the Venetian Resort, marked the end of an unforgettable chapter for the country music legend.
Similarly, Adele’s monumental Weekends With Adele residency at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum officially concluded on November 23, 2024. The British superstar’s 100-show run, which began on November 18, 2022, captivated audiences worldwide, becoming one of the Strip’s most successful and talked-about residencies in recent years.
As 2024 draws to a close, fans will also bid adieu to Duran Duran, who are set to perform their final two shows at the BleauLive Theater at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on December 29 and 30. The 1980s rock icons’ residency has been a key fixture on the Strip, celebrating their enduring legacy in the music world.
Meanwhile, Bruno Mars brings his residency at MGM Resorts’ Dolby Live at Park MGM to a close with performances on December 21, 27, 30, and 31. With over 90% of tickets already sold, the pop sensation’s residency has been a major draw. Mars, who also operates his club Pinky Ring at Bellagio, is expected to make future appearances on the Strip, whether through his club or another venue.
As these stars retire from their Vegas residencies, the entertainment capital of the world is left with a sense of nostalgia and anticipation for the next wave of performers to light up the stage.
