W.A.S.P. brought their much-anticipated Album ONE Alive 40th-anniversary tour to a triumphant close, at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The concert, which celebrated the band’s classic debut album, was the final stop of their extensive North American trek. Fans who missed the show can now catch the entire performance, thanks to the Live Rock Music Concerts YouTube channel, which uploaded the full video of the event.
The setlist for the night included a powerful lineup of hits, taking fans on a nostalgic journey through W.A.S.P.’s iconic catalog. Highlights included classic tracks like “I Wanna Be Somebody,” “L.O.V.E. Machine,” and “Blind In Texas,” all of which were featured alongside deep cuts from W.A.S.P.’s debut album, played in full for the first time in 40 years.
In addition to frontman Blackie Lawless, W.A.S.P.’s lineup for this historic tour included bassist Mike Duda and lead guitarist Doug Blair, both long-time members with 29 and 26 years in the band, respectively, as well as renowned drummer Aquiles Priester.
Throughout the 39-city tour, which began on October 26, 2024, at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, California, W.A.S.P. played in cities across North America, including Toronto, Vancouver, Minneapolis, Dallas, and New York City, before wrapping up in Los Angeles. Fans were treated to a lavish production, with multiple set changes and intricate stage setups reminiscent of a Broadway production—something Lawless emphasized during a recent appearance on Talk Is Jericho, the podcast hosted by Chris Jericho.
Acknowledging the high costs of the tour, Lawless explained the band’s commitment to delivering an unparalleled experience. “This is not a cheap show,” Lawless said. “We take a Broadway stage with us. It’s expensive to set up, and we hope the fans appreciate the level of detail and effort we put into every performance.”
Support for the tour came from legendary metal band Armored Saint, further enhancing the experience for fans across North America.
With the success of Album ONE Alive and the overwhelming fan support, W.A.S.P. is poised to continue their legacy in the years ahead, solidifying their place as one of the most influential acts in rock and metal history.
