Snoop Dogg’s highly anticipated Missionary album has made a strong debut, landing in the top 10 across multiple Billboard charts for the week of December 28. The album enters at No. 7 on both the Top Album Sales and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, while securing the No. 3 spot on the Top Rap Albums chart. Additionally, Missionary debuts at No. 20 on the overall Billboard 200 chart.
This marks Snoop Dogg’s highest-charting album in over 15 years on the Top Album Sales chart, with Missionary earning 38,000 equivalent album units in its first week, according to Luminate. This total includes 20,500 in pure album sales, 16,500 SEA (streaming equivalent albums) units, and the remainder from TEA (track equivalent albums).
With this debut, Missionary becomes Snoop’s 13th top 10-charting album, surpassing the success of Ego Trippin’, which peaked at No. 3 in March 2008. The new album’s strong performance underscores the enduring popularity of the hip-hop icon.
