Country music icon Wynonna Judd will return to the Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival as the headliner for its 64th edition, set to take place on May 5-6, 2025, at Meridian City Hall Green in downtown Meridian. This marks a special moment for Judd, who previously performed at the festival with her mother, Naomi Judd, as part of the acclaimed duo The Judds.
The festival’s lineup was unveiled at a city hall announcement on Wednesday, where it was met with excitement from music fans, local officials, and festival sponsors. “Over the past two years, we’ve revitalized the Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival with exciting updates, including a new venue, a dynamic talent lineup, a refreshed logo, and a brand-new website. These changes have helped make the event one of the most successful in recent years,” said Betty Lou Jones, president of the Jimmie Rodgers Foundation.
Jones added that the festival’s continued growth would focus on expanding participation through The Jimmie Rodgers Talent Competition, which will aim to attract a diverse range of talent from across the region and beyond.
Next year’s festival will feature an impressive roster of performers, including Wynonna & The Big Noise, Reckless Kelly, Brandy Clark, Cowboy Mouth, Hayes Carll, Chris Knight, Lydia Loveless, Charlie Worsham, Cary Hudson, and the winners of the Jimmie Rodgers Talent Competition.
Festival producer Arden Barnett hinted at even more improvements for this year, saying, “We’re making significant changes to the site that will make the festival experience even more impressive. The look and feel of the event will be a major upgrade from previous years.”
