Toto, Christopher Cross, and Men at Work Bring Yacht Rock to NJ This Summer

by Barbara

Next summer, Jersey music lovers can look forward to a nostalgic journey through the sounds of Yacht Rock, with Toto, Christopher Cross, and Men at Work hitting the stage in New Jersey. The trio will embark on their tour with two highly anticipated stops: Friday, July 25, at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel and Friday, August 1, at Hard Rock Live in Atlantic City.

The “Yacht Rock” tour, which celebrates the smooth sounds of late ’70s and early ’80s soft rock, has gained a major following. Last month, Toto and Cross were featured in the HBO special Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary, further fueling interest in the genre.

Steve Lukather of Toto shared his excitement for the tour, saying, “I am thrilled about this tour. Christopher and Colin (Hay of Men At Work) have been close friends of mine for a long time. This is a tour that musically works and brings a fresh new summer tour package to the circuit. I could not be more thrilled an idea that germinated months ago was able to take flight and become a reality.”

Yacht Rock’s blend of smooth melodies and soothing rhythms has remained a favorite in both concert venues and dance clubs, especially in New Jersey. Fans can expect to hear Toto’s timeless hits like “Hold the Line,” “Rosanna,” and “Africa,” along with Christopher Cross’s classics, including the chart-topping “Sailing” and “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do).” Men at Work will also bring their iconic tracks, such as “Who Can It Be Now?” and “Down Under.”
