Legendary punk rock band Black Flag is gearing up for several shows in Northern California next January, offering fans a chance to witness the raw energy of one of punk’s most influential outfits. While the lineup has evolved over the years—most notably without iconic vocalists Henry Rollins and Keith Morris—Black Flag remains a formidable force thanks to guitarist and founding member Greg Ginn, whose presence continues to define the band’s sound and spirit.
Though Rollins and Morris are no longer part of the group, Black Flag’s punk legacy lives on through Ginn’s unwavering leadership. Their recent performance at the Punk in the Park festival in Daly City demonstrated just how powerful their live shows can be. Sharing the stage with punk royalty like the Vandals, Descendents, and Dead Kennedys, Black Flag’s set stood out as one of the day’s highlights.
Fans of Ginn’s uncompromising vision will have the chance to catch Black Flag live in early 2025, with the band scheduled to play four Northern California dates. The shows will take place on January 5 at DNA Lounge in San Francisco, January 11 at the Santa Cruz County Veterans Memorial Building in Santa Cruz, January 12 at Brentwood Emporium, and January 15 at Mystic Theatre in Petaluma.
