Pop music star Pink is urging her fans to check out Better Man, a new film about U.K. music icon Robbie Williams, calling it “one of the best movies I’ve ever seen” in a recent Instagram post.
The film chronicles Williams’ extraordinary rise to fame, both as a solo artist and as a member of the boy band Take That, known for hits like “Back For Good.” Williams is also celebrated in the U.S. for his smash hit “Angels.” However, Better Man takes a creative and unconventional twist: the film features Williams playing himself—but as a CGI chimpanzee, a decision that has raised eyebrows.
Pink’s endorsement comes with a personal connection. The movie is directed by Michael Gracey, the same director behind The Greatest Showman, one of Pink’s other favorite films, as well as her own documentary, Pink: All I Know So Far. Fans of both Pink and Williams now have another reason to see the biopic, thanks to the singer’s glowing review.
