“Freedom Through Rock” Benefit Concert to Support Local Recovery Community

by Barbara

The Averitt Center for the Arts will host the Freedom Through Rock benefit concert on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. The event, aimed at raising funds for the Freedom Through Recovery: Susan Ford Recovery Community Organization, will take place at the Emma Kelly Theater, located at 33 E. Main St. in downtown Statesboro.

The concert will feature Ella Speed, a talented southern rock jam band made up of Statesboro natives. The group, known for its dynamic performances, captivated audiences last January with their exceptional musicianship, and this year’s show is expected to be just as memorable.

Catherine Tootle, Executive Director of Freedom Through Recovery, shared her excitement for the event: “I can’t wait to see everyone smiling and hugging as they come together to have a wonderful time grooving to the music! We are so very thankful to our sponsors and band for making this possible. We believe in the power of connection as the antidote to addiction, and music is a perfect way to bring people together.”
