BLACKPINK’s Rosé has made YouTube history with her record-breaking music video for “APT.,” surpassing 700 million views in just 70 days and 13 hours.
On December 28 at 2 a.m. KST, Rosé’s collaboration with Bruno Mars achieved the remarkable milestone, shattering the previous record held by PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” which took 118 days to reach 700 million. PSY’s iconic video had held the title for over 12 years, making this a groundbreaking achievement for the K-pop artist.
Released on October 18, “APT.” not only broke the K-pop record but also became the fourth fastest music video ever to hit 700 million views on YouTube, following Adele’s “Hello,” Nicky Jam and J. Balvin’s “X (EQUIS),” and DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B.
Rosé’s achievement marks another high point in her burgeoning solo career and cements her place in K-pop history. Congratulations to Rosé on this remarkable accomplishment!
