Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar will take center stage at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, the artist confirmed. The highly anticipated performance will take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025.
In a statement shared on social media, Lamar expressed his excitement, declaring, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”
The Super Bowl halftime show has become one of the most iconic moments in music, attracting major stars from a variety of genres. Past headliners include legends like Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, U2, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé. Rap and hip-hop have made significant marks on this prestigious stage, with Lamar himself joining forces with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and 50 Cent for a memorable performance during the 2022 Super Bowl in Los Angeles.
NFL’s Head of Music, Seth Dudowsky, praised Lamar’s influence on the music industry, stating, “Few artists have impacted music and culture as profoundly as Kendrick Lamar. Time and time again, Kendrick has proven his unique ability to craft moments that resonate, redefine, and ultimately shake the very foundation of hip-hop.”
The performance will be produced in collaboration with Lamar, Roc Nation, and Apple Music, promising another unforgettable halftime show for Super Bowl LVII.
