Gwen Stefani has shared her heartfelt thoughts on No Doubt’s highly anticipated reunion at the 2024 Coachella Festival, marking their first performance together since 2015. The Hollaback Girl singer express how deeply meaningful the moment was for her.
“Performing at Coachella and feeling all that love for us after all this time was kind of overwhelming,” Stefani, 55, revealed. “We hadn’t done anything together for so long, so to do that and be there for each other, with all of our families, meant so much to me.” She added that despite the long hiatus, the reunion felt like no time had passed at all, saying, “It was as if we had never been apart.” The singer also expressed her gratitude, calling herself “incredibly lucky.”
The reunion took place in April at the Indio, California festival, where Stefani and her bandmates—guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal, and drummer Adrian Young—headlined the event. For the performance, Stefani sported a ’90s-inspired look with ripped black tights, denim cutoff shorts, and a white tank top.
Adding to the excitement, Olivia Rodrigo joined Stefani and No Doubt onstage for a special performance of Bathwater. The band also treated fans to classic hits like Don’t Speak, It’s My Life, Spiderwebs, and Just a Girl.
Although Stefani previously expressed doubts about a reunion—citing a disconnect over the band’s musical direction—she now reflects on the Coachella reunion with immense fondness, reaffirming the special bond she shares with her bandmates. No Doubt, formed in 1986, released their last album in 2012, but their legacy continues to resonate with fans worldwide.
