Missed Beyoncé’s groundbreaking “Beyoncé Bowl” halftime performance? No worries — Netflix will make it available for streaming later this week, allowing fans to relive the electrifying performance that had everyone talking.
Beyoncé captivated viewers with a stunning halftime show at the NFL Christmas Gameday event, celebrating both Black culture and the country genre. She performed “Cowboy Carter,” a track from her genre-blending album, in a performance that turned Houston’s NRG Stadium into her personal rodeo. The show was a vibrant celebration of Black excellence, fashion, and country music.
Following the performance, Netflix announced that it would release a standalone special of the “Beyoncé Bowl” halftime show. Fans can expect to rewatch the iconic set, which included a star-studded lineup of Black country artists such as Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy, and even Beyoncé’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
“Thank you @beyonce for this moment,” Adell wrote on social media. “For all the beautiful Black girls, I hope you see this as a testament that you can be whoever you want to be and do whatever you set your mind to.”
The performance featured Beyoncé’s signature energy, including a powerful backing of HBCU marching bands. Approximately 200 members of Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul Marching Band flooded the field, amplifying the performance with their iconic sound. The band, founded in 1969, has a rich history of performing at NFL events, including the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show.
Get ready to experience this unforgettable performance again when it hits Netflix later this week.
