English-Australian country music icon Allan Caswell has unveiled a deeply personal new single, “Honey All I Need Is You,” co-written with fellow Australian musician Lindsay Waddington. The song serves as a Christmas gift to their wives, blending heartfelt lyrics with a Tex-Mex style that captures the artists’ shared love for country music.
The track is a soulful, dreamy lullaby, showcasing Caswell and Waddington’s affection for their partners. Supported by the talents of Brendan Radford, Claire O’Meara, Gus Fenwick, Doug Gallacher, and Lawrie Minson, the song features soothing guitar melodies and an accordion that complements the heartfelt lyrics. Caswell described the song as “totally self-indulgent,” reflecting a moment of personal expression for both musicians.
“Honey All I Need Is You” will officially hit the airwaves on New Year’s Eve, marking the anniversary of Caswell and his wife’s 15 years of marriage.
Following the single release, Caswell will hit the road for his The Really Long Goodbye Tour in January 2025, starting with a performance at Tamworth Services Club on January 26. Despite ongoing speculation about his retirement, Caswell reassured fans in a press release, saying, “I am not retiring… I am still writing way too many songs and making too many records… and besides, I can’t retire… my golf game is terrible.”
