Pleasure P is speaking out about what he says is his uncredited role in co-writing Lil Wayne’s iconic 2008 hit “Lollipop.” The former Pretty Ricky member recently went on Instagram Live to assert that he, alongside the late Static Major, co-wrote the track, and he believes he is owed both credit and compensation for his work.

“I wrote that. Rex Zamor, Tez, Wayne, Mack Maine—I need my fucking plaque for this song, bro,” Pleasure P said while the song played in the background. “Jim Jonsin, y’all can do something about this shit. But nobody care about me no more.”

According to Pleasure P, Rex Zamor received both publishing rights and co-writing credit for “Lollipop,” while he was left out. The artist claims that the song, which has reportedly earned $28 million, should have acknowledged his contribution, especially since he worked on it prior to releasing his own debut album.

“I can’t get my just due,” he added. “Before my first album came out, I wrote this song with Static…”

Pleasure P’s call for recognition comes after years of frustration over not receiving the credit he feels he deserves for the smash hit.
