A surprising new collaboration hit the stage in New York as actors David Krumholtz, Michael Shannon, Kevin Corrigan, and Superchunk’s Jon Wurster debuted their indie-rap group, Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon. The improvisational supergroup performed their first live show, at Berlin, a venue known for its eclectic vibe.

The group, which blends rock and rap, features Krumholtz (known for The Santa Clause and Oppenheimer), Shannon (Revolutionary Road, Nocturnal Animals), and Corrigan (Goodfellas, Superbad), with Wurster—renowned for his drumming with Superchunk, Katy Perry, R.E.M., and others—providing the musical backbone.

Wurster announced the debut performance on Instagram, calling the project “an exciting musical concept” that showcases “improvised rock and roll weirdness.” The audience was treated to a one-of-a-kind show, with the trio laying down hypnotic grooves, while Krumholtz freestyle rapped over the music. Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon’s debut was an unconventional yet intriguing fusion of music and improvisation.
