Heavy metal band Savage Lands has unveiled a new music video for their track Out Of Breath, ahead of the release of their debut album Army Of The Trees, set for February 2025 via Season Of Mist. The song features a guest appearance from the German industrial metal band LORD OF THE LOST.
Savage Lands, known for its conservationist-driven message, blends multiple genres, and Out Of Breath showcases the band’s signature mix of powerful elements. Drummer Dirk Verbeuren explains, “By nature, SAVAGE LANDS isn’t limited to one genre, but Out Of Breath speaks to all our core elements.”
Guitarist Sylvain Demercastel reflects on the song’s deeper emotional tone, stating, “I love headbanging to heavy metal, but I’m also a very nostalgic person. There’s a melancholic atmosphere to this song that reflects how both the Earth and our relationships change as time passes.”
Collaborating with Savage Lands on the track, Chris Harms and Pi Stoffers of LORD OF THE LOST share their excitement, saying, “When Sylvain and Dirk introduced us to Savage Lands at Hellfest in 2023, we instantly saw the passion and necessity behind this endeavor. Music can offer refuge and serve as a sanctuary for the existential nature around us.”
With the release of Out Of Breath and the upcoming album, Savage Lands continues to merge powerful music with a meaningful message about the environment and human connection.
