Eminem’s hit single “Houdini” has been crowned the biggest hip-hop song of 2024 in the UK, securing the top spot as the highest-charting rap track on The Official Chart UK’s annual list.
Ranked at No. 26 overall, “Houdini” leads as the highest-placing rap song, with Jack Harlow’s “Lovin On Me” coming in close behind at No. 28. The track, which serves as the lead single from Eminem’s latest album, had an explosive debut, achieving 104,800 units in its first week, including an impressive 13.3 million streams. This launch marked the best-selling single week of the year in the UK at the time, and the biggest debut since Dave and Central Cee’s “Sprinter” in 2023. It also stands as Eminem’s most successful UK debut since his 2002 hit “Without Me.”
In addition to these impressive feats, “Houdini” helped Eminem secure his 11th No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart, tying him with Calvin Harris for the most No. 1 singles in UK chart history.
With “Houdini” standing as one of only two hip-hop songs on the 2024 list, the track further solidifies Eminem’s unparalleled dominance in the music world, over 20 years into his career.
