Cleveland police are investigating the murder of local rapper Carlos Banks, also known by his stage name KashBankx, who was shot and killed early Sunday morning inside an apartment.
The 28-year-old, who had garnered thousands of followers through his music and social media presence, was found shot multiple times at an apartment complex on Broadway Avenue in the Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood. Authorities responded to the scene around 4 a.m. and pronounced Banks dead upon arrival.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has confirmed his identity. At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
The tragic incident has left the local music community in shock, and Cleveland police continue to work on identifying suspects and uncovering details surrounding the murder.
