Eminem is predicting a monumental night for Kendrick Lamar at the 2025 Grammy Awards, with the iconic rapper forecasting that K. Dot will dominate across all seven categories in which he’s nominated.
Eminem, alongside his manager Paul Rosenberg, shared his thoughts on the upcoming Grammys, giving a nod of approval to Kendrick’s potential to take home multiple trophies. “Kendrick’s gonna sweep that sh*t. He’s going to, and he should,” Eminem said with a smile, acknowledging the stiff competition while firmly supporting Lamar’s talent.
Kendrick, who is up for seven Grammy nominations, will go head-to-head with Eminem in two categories: Best Music Video and Best Rap Performance. Despite their friendly rivalry, Eminem has long praised Kendrick’s artistic brilliance.
Earlier interviews reveal his deep respect for Kendrick’s lyricism. In 2022, prior to their joint Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show performance, Eminem called Kendrick “the most electrifying vocalist of this generation” and highlighted his place among the greatest lyricists of all time. Back in 2015, Eminem expressed awe over Kendrick’s debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city, calling it a “masterpiece” with intricate wordplay and storytelling.
Kendrick’s nominations for the 2025 Grammys include Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Song (“Like That” and “Not Like Us”), as well as Best Music Video and Best Rap Performance. The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will air on February 2.
