Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach is kicking off the New Year with a musical celebration that will transport attendees back to the golden age of rock. The church will host “Rockin’ at Riverside,” a free concert on Sunday, January 12, at 3:30 p.m. at 3400 N. Atlantic Avenue (A1A). Free tickets for the event can be reserved online or by calling 321-222-7875.
The concert will feature the Rock-n-Roll Revue, a talented ensemble known for their vibrant renditions of classic hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Under the direction of conductor Art Martin, the revue will offer a nostalgic journey through time.
Renowned vocalist Tony Schillizzi will take the stage to perform some of the most beloved tunes of yesteryear, while the Swingtimers Trio—comprising Robin Krasny, Diana Sageser, and Dave Hutson—will showcase tight harmonies in true retro style.
Expect to hear iconic tracks like “Chantilly Lace,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Penny Lane,” “Mustang Sally,” “Rock Around the Clock,” and “Wipe Out,” among others, all celebrating the spirit of rock-n-roll.
Part of the Dr. Vernon Boushell concert series, which offers free Sunday performances as a musical legacy for the Brevard community, this concert promises to be a memorable start to the year. “The free tickets go very quickly for our January concerts,” said event coordinator Hoagland. “Audiences love the songs from the Rock-n-Roll Revue, and it’s a great way to welcome the New Year!”
