Hi-Fi Un!corn Signs Major Deal with Sony Music Labels

Korean-Japanese rock band Hi-Fi Un!corn has officially signed with Japan’s prestigious Sony Music Labels, marking a major milestone in their musical journey. The announcement, made by their agency FNC Entertainment on Wednesday, came as the band celebrated the New Year.

Sony Music Labels expressed confidence in the band’s potential, stating, “We’ve found a promising band [Hi-Fi Un!corn] who will take the Japanese music market by storm.”

Hi-Fi Un!corn, formed through the 2023 Korean-Japanese co-produced audition show The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle, consists of five talented members: leader and bassist Son Ki-yoon, vocalists Un Tae-min and Fukushima Shuto, guitarist Kim Hyun-yul, and drummer Heo Min.

The band made a successful debut in Japan with their album Fantasia, released on August 28, 2024. The album’s release was met with overwhelming demand, as tickets for all their concerts in Japan sold out quickly.

In addition to their success in Japan, Hi-Fi Un!corn has performed at major music festivals such as Soundberry Festa 24, Grand Mint Festival 2024, and Pepsi Festa 2024.

Next up, Hi-Fi Un!corn will take the stage at the 1st FNC Band Kingdom in Taoyuan, a rock band festival featuring FNC Entertainment’s top rock acts. The event will take place on January 4 and 5 at Taoyuan Arena in Taiwan.
