Primus made history this week, performing their first live show without long-time drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander, who departed the band last fall. The iconic California-based indie rock group took the stage at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California, as part of their New Year’s Eve celebration performances.
In the absence of Alexander, the band’s set was augmented with Bryan “Brain” Mantia stepping in on drums. This marks a new chapter for the band, who navigated this significant lineup change while delivering their signature sound to fans at the live event.
