Luke Combs is turning to his fans for help in choosing his next duet partner, sharing a sneak peek of a new ballad he’s working on. The country star posted a clip of the song on Instagram, along with a question for his followers: “Who should I duet this with?”
The song, which features Combs’ signature emotive delivery, includes the reflective lyrics: “Years ago, when you thought about what kind of guy you should end up with, it wasn’t me. Sometimes, it feels like I just fooled you into falling for me. God knows where I’d be if I didn’t, that’s a different story.”
Fans wasted no time offering their suggestions, with names ranging from powerhouse vocalist Adele to country icons like Shania Twain, Carly Pearce, Lainey Wilson, and Morgan Wallen. Some fans even proposed that Combs duet with his wife, Nicole, who has inspired many of his heartfelt love ballads. Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, and Elle Langley also received mentions as potential collaborators.
In addition to his creative endeavors, Luke Combs recently led the “Concert for Carolina” benefit, which raised over $24.5 million for Hurricane Helene relief efforts. The event featured performances from Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor, demonstrating the country star’s commitment to both music and philanthropy.
