Award-winning singer/songwriter Thom Shepherd is set to take the stage at the Outrigger Event Center in Palacios on January 18, 2025, for an evening of captivating music and storytelling. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with Shepherd’s performance scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy fresh bites from Schawarmin’ Up, which will be serving a delicious menu starting at 6:30 p.m, including Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders and Luau Pork Fried Rice served in a pineapple.
A veteran of Nashville’s Music Row, Shepherd, a two-time cancer survivor and CMA of Texas Songwriter of the Year, has written over 10 radio singles, including the chart-topping hits “Redneck Yacht Club” and “Riding with Private Malone.” His latest single, “One Boot,” from his album The Pelican, channels a Texas Beach Country vibe and showcases his unique storytelling style.
Shepherd, along with his wife and artist Coley McCabe Shepherd, who together make up the reigning TRMA Duo of the Year for the fourth consecutive year, is known for his energetic performances and wide-ranging impact on the country music scene. Shepherd’s songwriting credits also include two Grammy-nominated songs and over 100 tracks recorded by other artists. His work with Texas superstar Kevin Fowler brought him to Austin, where he moved in 2011 to pursue full-time touring and songwriting.
In addition to his music career, Shepherd is the producer of the two-time TRMA Event of the Year, The Lone Star Luau, and his hit song “New York to Montana” has recently been adapted into a novel. His music has taken him on 10 tours performing for military personnel in 18 countries.
