Down, the legendary NOLA sludge metal supergroup, is officially back in the studio, recording their highly anticipated new album. After a lengthy hiatus, the band’s most recent EP was released in 2014, and their last full-length album, Over the Under, dropped in 2007.
Following months of writing and anticipation, the band has now begun laying down the tracks for their next opus, as shown in recently released studio photos. Fans have eagerly awaited this moment, and the band’s return to the studio marks an exciting new chapter.
In addition to the album work, Down has a series of upcoming live shows scheduled, including performances with Danzig, Abbath, and Cro-Mags. The upcoming tour includes stops in cities like Las Vegas, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Milwaukee, where the band will perform as part of the Milwaukee Metal Fest.
