Blackpink has reached another milestone as the performance video for their hit track “Shut Down” surpassed 200 million views on YouTube on Sunday, according to their label, YG Entertainment.
This marks the group’s 13th dance video to achieve the significant milestone, doing so in just over two years. Upon its release in 2022, the video quickly became one of the platform’s top trending videos, amassing 10 million views within just 12 hours.
The music video for the hip-hop track has nearly 700 million views, further solidifying its success. “Shut Down” was the lead single from Blackpink’s album Born Pink, which debuted at No. 25 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200, making Blackpink the first K-pop girl group to top both charts. Additionally, the album reached No. 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart, continuing the group’s global dominance.
