Louisville-based artist AHC is breaking boundaries with her latest album, Multicolor, a genre-defying project that merges house, hip-hop, and hyperpop in a vivid musical experience. Known for her DIY approach, AHC—whose real name is Annahelen Croce—has always produced, written, and directed her own music. However, with Multicolor, she steps into new territory by collaborating with artists from South Korea to her hometown of Louisville.
AHC opened up about her journey to this point. “I started producing music in 2019, but it wasn’t until COVID-19 hit that I began officially releasing music as AHC,” she explained. “I independently released albums and music videos, all written and produced by me. Then, in August 2021, I held my own show at Big Rock Park for my friends and family. After that, I knew I wanted to keep performing.”
Her live performances soon gained traction, and she became a recognized figure in the Louisville music scene. In 2022, AHC’s journey took her to Seoul, South Korea, where she immersed herself in the local music culture and connected with Korean artists. One of her key collaborations is with rapper crockyO, with whom she released a collaborative album.
Back in Louisville, AHC continued to perform at local venues like Portal, Zanzabar, and Mode, further solidifying her presence. She also began working with artist and director Steven Mobb, who helped elevate her music videos, including those for “Rodeo,” “Peachy,” and the upcoming single “TRACKSUIT,” set to release on January 17.
Reflecting on her journey, AHC shared, “It’s been an incredible five years, but this is just the beginning. I’m still working to be the best artist I can be.”
