Lady Gaga is ringing in 2025 with a monumental achievement, as her duet with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile,” ascends to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The pop icon shared her gratitude in an emotional TikTok video posted, where she thanked fans for their unwavering support.
“I am so incredibly grateful that my song ‘Die With a Smile’ with Bruno Mars, my friend, is No. 1 on the Hot 100,” she said, holding her camera to address her followers directly. Reflecting on the milestone, the 13-time Grammy winner added, “I can’t believe I’ve had two No. 1s in three different decades that I’ve been releasing my music in this profession.”
Gaga’s excitement was palpable as she continued, “I’m so honored to be an artist and to have had your ears for this long. Thank you for listening and dancing and making your art along with mine.”
The rise of “Die With a Smile” to the top spot comes five months after its August 16 release, during which it topped the Billboard Global 200 for eight consecutive weeks. With this latest achievement, Gaga now boasts six Hot 100 No. 1 songs, joining the exclusive ranks of Michael and Janet Jackson, who are the only other artists to have earned two chart-toppers in three different decades.
