Ringo Starr’s much-anticipated country album, Look Up, will be officially released this Friday, and independent record stores across the country are gearing up to celebrate with listening parties. In collaboration with Record Store Day, the events will take place in 35 states, including California, New York, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, and Washington, allowing fans to experience the new album firsthand. Produced and co-written by T Bone Burnett, Look Up features 11 tracks, including collaborations with several notable artists. Among the special guest appearances are Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Lucius, Larkin Poe, and the legendary Alison Krauss, who joins Starr on the album’s closing track, “Thankful,” which was co-penned by Starr himself.
To further celebrate the album’s release, Ringo will perform at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium on January 14 and 15 under the billing Ringo Starr & Friends. Following these shows, Starr will hit the road with his All-Starr Band, starting June 12 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A full list of tour dates can be found online.
