MetaMoon Music Festival, which has become a staple of Asian entertainment in New York City since its 2022 debut, is set to take its first international leap in 2025. The festival, known for its diverse blend of concerts, industry panels, and cultural events, will host its inaugural Dubai edition in February at the iconic Al Wasl Plaza – Expo City Dubai.
Headlining the highly anticipated event will be singer, songwriter, and actor Henry Lau, alongside viral Korean singer-rapper Lee Young Ji. The festival will also feature an exciting roster of international talent, including Japanese-American singer-songwriter mikah, 2024’s Red Bull Dance Your Style champion MT Pop from Vietnam, and DJ Poon, a veteran of New York’s radio scene. Longtime festival collaborator and rapper-comedian MC Jin will return to host the Dubai event.
Henry Lau, who headlined last year’s MetaMoon, is looking forward to his return. The former Super Junior member, whose music spans pop and classical genres, will not only perform but also share his career insights in a fireside chat with SiriusXM’s Michael Tam. Reflecting on his experiences as an artist and Berklee College of Music graduate, Lau expressed his excitement to mentor aspiring musicians. “I’m just excited to share what I’ve learned,” he told Billboard. “I hope my experiences can give them a good idea of what to expect and where to focus their efforts.”
MetaMoon’s expansion into Dubai marks a significant milestone as the festival continues to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western music scenes, bringing together global talent and audiences in a celebration of Asian pop culture.
