Occurrence’s “Feeding Time” Bridges Electronic and Rock with New Sound

Occurrence

Electronic trio Occurrence is taking a bold step into new sonic territory with their upcoming album Real Friend, set to explore life’s most important values. Along with the album announcement, the band is releasing the first single, “Feeding Time,” accompanied by a lyric/music video that showcases vocalist Johnny Hager performing the track from his kitchen.

Known for their electronic roots, Occurrence’s new single takes a sharp turn toward an electronic rock sound that would feel right at home in a live rock venue. The track blends their signature electronic style with powerful, gritty guitar elements, giving it a raw energy that marks a departure from their usual work. This shift was bolstered by guitarist Damian Baldet, an old friend of bandleader Ken Urban, who was brought in to add his distinctive guitar skills to the song. Although the two hadn’t connected in a while, Urban recognized Baldet’s contribution was exactly what “Feeding Time” needed as the song took shape.

With this release, Occurrence continues to evolve musically, merging the worlds of electronic and rock to craft a sound that feels fresh, dynamic, and deeply resonant.
